Michael and Robbie Mathews are the founders of The Mathews Entrepreneur Group, Inc (TMEG). The company was founded in 2007 and is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois in the United States. They specialize in personal financial literacy education, coaching, accountability and empowerment strategies using books, workshops, seminars, one-on-one coaching and online programs.Michael and Robbie are an award-winning couple from Chicago, Illinois USA. This husband and wife duo are both proven and successful self-made global entrepreneurs, engaging international speakers, certified life coaches, and investors. They are published authors of the book titled Financially Speaking: The Best Improvement Starts with Self-Improvement-Create Your Own Economic Stimulus Plan which became the cornerstone that formed the company’s financial education wings.Robbie is also a co-author of a book and a participant in an upcoming PBS Television special both titled Phenomenal Global Women. She along with 10 other women from different countries, cultures and nationalities share their life stories, their journeys, and their experiences. He spent his hard-earned money on his lifestyle. He filed bankruptcy, had his car repossessed, bank accounts drained, you name it, he experienced it. He decided to graduate from the University of Hard Knocks around the age of 40. He took personal financial literacy education seriously and changed how he was negatively thinking, feeling, and acting about money. He never looked back.Michael says that, most people in my field have degrees; however, I have actual real-life experiences that have allowed me to be successful. The most exciting part of his role as CEO, Michael says, is creating new products and services from a single idea that has the capacity to positively impact the lives of others.”
Michael also has 30+ years’ experience in the private and public transportation sector of Chicago. He is retired from the Chicago Transit Authority. He began playing basketball on Championship and Hall of Fame high school and college and then entered in the Pro/Amateur League in Chicago and the Professional European League, based in Salzburg Austria.
Robbie has 40 years of Computer Technology development and management experience within the retail and financial services industry. During these years, she served as a diversity and inclusion advocate and global mentor. She is retired from a Chicago based Fortune 500 international financial services firm.
Says Robbie: I am very confident in my ability to accomplish any goal I set my mind to. I can be a little stubborn and controlling at times which adds a touch of spice to my personality. I live by the financial literacy principles that we preach/teach. I know first-hand that educating yourself is critical to making sound financial decisions.
